Texture &

Environment

My engagement with textiles is between craft and fine art; the textile explores the expressional possibilities that surface patterns can create within an environment.

This work has given me the opportunity to merge boundaries of different mediums and create textures and patterns which allow light and surface to interact with each other.

The movement of light is first captured through photography and the textured forms are a response to how this movement can alter and transform surfaces.

These pieces have been assembled in situ;  the natural surroundings that they are placed in has dictated their structure and form.

They reside as part of the Wye Valley Garden Sculpture Trail, 2024. For more details about this beautiful place, including opening times, please select here.
